As a single, no kids, hardworking 31 year old graduate student, sometimes it becomes challenging to manage my time as I pursue my Masters in Entertainment Business. Not only am I a student, but I also work a job 40 hours a week and currently five hours of mandatory overtime. I won't lie about it, I am becoming more and more unhappy at my job but for the time being I'm holding on to it, so that I will have a source of income. I have had thoughts of just letting my job go and going all out with school and pursuing my dream. I feel like I would definitely have the time I need to get things done a little faster.
What also makes balancing time challenging is that I have different music projects that I am working on. I have a few artists that I am working with as well as some of my own projects. I also like to go out and visit friends and family. My challenge is to find a way to manage the different obligations in my life. I am learning so much in my graduate program but sometimes it get tough to apply some of the lessons and strategies to my own business because I am doing so much. I have attempted to get a little more organized and this will be important as I move forward within my endeavors. With the help of the right people, networking and working with other entrepreneurs, I know it will all come together. I'm just going to keep working and preparing. Trust me, I'm being patient.
